A dedicated IAM leader and 29-year Aircraft Maintenance Technician on the American Airlines property, this candidate brings extensive frontline experience and a lifelong commitment to the labor movement. Raised in a union household, with both parents serving as union members, he learned early the importance of collective representation, solidarity, and standing up for working people. He became an IAM member in 2008 following an airline merger and began his union leadership journey in 2010 as a Shop Steward in Phoenix.
Since then, he has served in numerous elected and appointed positions at both the Local and District levels. In 2014, he was elected to the American Airlines Maintenance and Related Grievance Committee, eventually serving as its Chair, as well as Vice President and President of IAM Local 2559. His District experience includes serving as a full-time TWU-IAM Association Representative, Election Teller, and participating in District conferences and special assignments. In December 2025, he was appointed District 142 General Chairperson.
His extensive experience includes grievance investigation and handling, contract interpretation, negotiations, committee leadership, and representing members throughout every stage of the grievance process. He has processed hundreds of grievances and represented more than 15,000 employees at American Airlines. He also served on the Negotiating Committee for four collective bargaining agreements covering Aircraft Maintenance Technicians, Material Logistics Specialists, Facilities, GSE, Planners, and other Maintenance-Related classifications.
A committed participant in the democratic process of the union, he has been elected as a delegate to multiple District 142 and IAM International Conventions. He has also served on Local Lodge 2559’s Budget and Audit Committees. His leadership development includes Leadership I, Leadership II, Advanced Leadership, and Negotiation Preparation programs at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center.
With more than two decades of direct union involvement, he believes effective representation means holding corporate management accountable, negotiating strong contracts, and ensuring workers have a meaningful voice in decisions that affect their lives. He is committed to putting his experience to work strengthening member representation, protecting workplace rights, and securing fair treatment for the thousands of members who depend on District 142.
As part of the Forward Together District Slate, he is ready to bring his experience, dedication, and commitment to the membership as we continue building a stronger, more united District.
This is what change looks like.
