An IAM member since 1999, this candidate brings decades of airline experience, extensive union education, and a proven record of organizing, educating, and representing working people. A Southwest Airlines Customer Service Agent, they have worked under the Customer Service, Customer Support, and Source of Support contracts, as well as Allied Aviation, giving them a broad understanding of the challenges faced by airline employees across different workgroups.

Their IAM career has included serving as a Shop Steward, Local Lodge President, Communicator, Educator, and Sergeant at Arms for both Local Lodge 1905 and Local Lodge 2319, as well as serving in that role at District 142 Conventions. These experiences have provided a firsthand understanding of what it takes to operate a strong Local, educate members, enforce a contract, and ensure that members have a voice in their Union.

One of the strongest parts of this candidate’s union experience is organizing. They played an active role in organizing employees during the AirTran merger with Southwest, as well as supporting organizing efforts involving Delta Flight Attendants, ramp employees, and JetBlue workers. That experience reinforced a fundamental belief: the strength of the IAM begins with organizing workers, building relationships, and showing employees the power they have when they stand together.

Education has also been central to their union leadership. They have completed extensive training through the IAM’s William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center, including all Staff classes, General Chair classes, and most of the educational programs offered through Winpisinger. That commitment to continuous learning has helped develop the knowledge and skills necessary to educate members, train representatives, and effectively address the challenges facing working people.

As an Educator, Communicator, and former Local Lodge President, this candidate understands that strong union representation requires more than simply knowing the contract. Members need leaders who can communicate, explain their rights, listen to their concerns, and help them understand how to take action. They believe education creates stronger members, stronger Stewards, and ultimately a stronger Union.

They also bring a deep appreciation for the relationships that make unionism meaningful. Whether interacting with members and peers, attending conferences and conventions, participating in Winpisinger programs, or traveling throughout the system, they value the opportunity to connect with working people and learn from their experiences.

Outside of aviation and the IAM, this candidate has a unique background rooted in New Orleans, where they have been involved with restaurants and bars both as an employee and an owner. Their competitive spirit has also followed them throughout life, with experience in numerous sports, including football, track and field, swimming, golf, and bowling. At one point, they carried a 3 handicap in golf and averaged 275 in bowling—experiences that reflect the same discipline, competitiveness, and team mentality they bring to union leadership.

With decades of IAM membership, extensive organizing experience, years of Shop Steward and Local leadership, a commitment to union education, and firsthand experience working to bring employees together, this candidate understands what it takes to build a stronger labor movement.

As part of the Forward Together slate, they are committed to putting members first, strengthening Local Lodges, developing Stewards and educators, expanding organizing efforts, and ensuring that District 142 remains a Union where members are informed, engaged, and represented.
