Beginning a career with Alaska Airlines in the state of Alaska, this candidate built a strong foundation in the operation through experience in customer service, airport operations, and cargo. Over the years, that broad operational knowledge has continued to grow and has now been brought to the Bay Area, providing firsthand insight into the challenges faced by members across different stations and work environments.
As an active union member and Shop Steward, he has dedicated himself to protecting the contract, advocating for member rights, and ensuring employees have a voice. Serving as Interim Chief Shop Steward for the Bay Area has provided valuable leadership experience, including representing members on complex workplace issues and working directly with both the membership and union leadership.
He’s approach to representation is grounded in experience, communication, preparation, and listening. He understand the importance of knowing the contract, documenting the facts, asking the right questions, and standing up for members when it matters most. He believe effective union leadership requires transparency, accountability, accessibility, and the courage to have difficult conversations.
As a candidate for Vice President of Alaska Airlines on the Forward Together slate, he is committed to bringing their experience from Alaska and the Bay Area to the District level. Their goal is to build stronger connections with members, strengthen representation, and ensure every member knows they are heard, respected, and represented.
